Dr. Silva, a native of Boyle Heights and alumnus of Abraham Lincoln High School, began his journey towards becoming a distinguished Family Doctor in his community. His passion for football and leadership skills were evident as he served as the class president during his senior year.
Completing his undergraduate studies at UC Riverside in 1992, Dr. Silva pursued his medical education at UC Davis, obtaining his MD degree in 1998. He honed his clinical skills during his internship and residency at White Memorial Medical Center. He shares his expertise as a Core Faculty member in the Family Medicine Residency Program at California Hospital Medical Center in Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA).
Dr. Silva's lifelong aspiration to establish a clinic in his hometown became a reality in 2001, when he, alongside Dr. Lisa Ma, co-founded Mosaic Family Care Medical Group.
Specializing in personalized care for senior patients, he is committed to delivering healthcare with the highest quality and compassion... His overarching goal is to enhance the well-being of his senior patients, fostering healthier, happier, and longer lives.
Dr. Ma graduated with honors from the University of California, Riverside; earned her Medical Degree at Loma Linda University, School of Medicine; and completed her Family Medicine residency at (nearby) White Memorial Medical Center. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Ma comes from a diverse cultural background and speaks fluent English, medical Spanish, basic Japanese and Chinese. In addition to her training in traditional medicine, Dr. Ma has also pursued furthering education in natural remedies and has developed a unique holistic skill set with a focus in integrative functional care. She is far from your average physician and believes she was placed on this earth to help others. In this pursuit, Dr. Ma organizes yearly aid trips to Mexico which include medical, dental, and construction assistance to under-served communities.
Dr. Hector Castillo is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He graduated from Occidental College where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He graduated from Keck School of Medicine at USC. He has been in practice for 14 years and is currently a primary care physician and a hospitalist. Dr. Castillo serves on multiple clinical leadership committees at White Memorial Medical Center and AltaMed Health Services. He is a proud husband and father of three wonderful children. He coaches flag football and enjoys time with his family.
